Customs
You should declare all equipment (including: camera, tape recorders, microphones, monitors, satellite equipment, laptop etc.) to the Republic of Serbia customs at the border post. For the equipment where necessary an ATA Carnet is required.
Although it is not necessary, you might wish to declare all money that you are carrying. On leaving the country, foreign citizens are allowed to export cash only against an import declaration, of the same or lesser amount declared when entering the country, and in the same currency.
Accreditation
Accreditation at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia is necessary for all international media representatives and enables them to work legally in
the Serbia. Besides the accreditation issued by the Ministry of Culture,
reporters might need an additional accreditation in order to report on various
events and particular institutions – if needed that accreditation is issued by
the organizing institution.
Prior to your departure to Serbia, the
Editor-in-Chief or Managing Director of the media you work for should kindly fax
or e-mail a request for accreditation to:

The request
for your credentials should include:
• Name and the media you work for
and a brief description • Your name, family name, passport number and title,
affiliation to the media • Type of credentials required (temporary
correspondent, permanent correspondent or special reporter) including the
duration of stay • Area of interest (in case you are a special reporter)
Upon arrival to Belgrade, you should obtain credentials

You should kindly present the original
letter-request by your EIC or MD and two recent passport-size photos.
The processing time may last up to a month.
Accreditation is
free of charge.

Status Definitions and Eligibility
Permanent correspondents - International media representatives
that continuously, at least for one year, report on current events in
Serbia;
Temporary correspondents - International media
representatives that for a certain period of time report on current events in
Serbia;
Special reporters - International media
representatives that during a limited period of time report on a particular
issue, event, or topic in Serbia and might come to Serbia regardless of whether
they are or are not permanent or temporary correspondents reporting for the same
media outlet on current events in Serbia.
Only those European media
representatives who have (or will get) permanent residence in Serbia, in one of
the bordering countries, or in Switzerland, Greece and Austria can receive
accreditation as permanent or temporary correspondents from Serbia.
In
the case of overseas media, their European correspondents residing in any
European country may receive accreditation as permanent or temporary
correspondents from Serbia. These restrictions do not apply to special
reporters.
Ministry of Culture has full discretion to deny accreditation.
